The public lavatories are linked to the management platform via Mobile Internet and Internet of Things. Supervisors can log in the platform to both check the real-time status of the lavatories and control the toilets’ subsystems; common users can check the distribution, location, available toilets of lavatories, and the availability of parking space and services online via a mobile phone app; the platform can collect the meteorological data (temperature, humidity, PM2.5) around the lavatories within a certain scope, water & electricity consumption data, occupancy, fault alert, consumables supplement alert, sanitization frequency, and summarize these data into big data on regular basis for the reference of administrators and operators.
